Diamond Enterprises - Highland, IN:

Provided residential design and drafting services for custom single family homes.

Generation Homes - Valparaiso, IN:

Provided residential and light commercial drafting services. Design of both wood and steel framed homes.

Amtech - Hammond, IN:

Design and implementation of full functioning CAD department for technology systems contractor. Duties included CAD needs assessment, purchasing of CAD related computer hardware and software, implementation of standards and symbol libraries, as well as day to day drawing creation.

Residential Steel Design Systems - Valparaiso, IN:

Implementation and oversight of all operations for new company entering the residential light gauge steel framing market providing design services and material supply. Planning and creation of standard operating procedures and computer networking for the following departments: Architectural and Structural Engineering, Project Management, estimating, accounting, purchasing, distribution, inventory control, employee training, and marketing. Other duties included evaluation, purchasing and customization of software packages. SoftPlan V.10 experience.

Sterling Engineering - Westchester, IL:
Assigned to the following companies and projects:

Personal Products Company (Johnson & Johnson)

Project Manager, reporting to Senior Project Engineer. Troubleshooting and upgrading of existing processing and packaging equipment used in the manufacturing of paper products. Responsible for overseeing projects from concept to installation. Administration duties include quoting and purchasing of spare parts, materials and machine work. Also was part of a new product development team. Organization of department documentation including drawings, manuals, parts lists and upgrades. CAD management duties included Novell Network support, AutoCAD support/training, AutoCad menu customization, and file management software implementation for engineering department.

Argonne National Laboratory - APS (Advanced Photon Source)

Design of fixtures and vacuum components used in x-ray experimentation. Heavy use of geometric tolerancing was required. Also assisted in maintaining Internet design exchange for U.S. Department of Energy.

Dial Corporation

Proposed plant layout including isometric presentation drawings.

Griffith Laboratories

3-D modeling of existing processing plant and proposed addition using AutoCad.

Spline Drive Systems

3-D modeling and rendering of a new product concept using AutoCad. Also included graphic design for product marketing.

Commonwealth Edison

Drafting and revising of schematics, wiring diagrams, architectural and structural drawings for electrical substations. Methods used included ink lettering on mylar and AutoCad.
